A well-known crypto influencer, Ben “BitBoy” Armstrong, has been arrested in Florida. According to reports, he was taken into custody by the Volusia County Division of Corrections, around 7:18 PM, on March 25, 2025. He was arrested in connection with apparently threatening a Georgia judge named Kimberly Childs.
Just days before his arrest, Armstrong even said that a warrant had been issued against him. It was due to emails he sent to Judge Childs during his defense in court, he claimed. But Florida officials have not yet released what charges exactly he is accused of.
It is not the first time that Armstrong has landed in trouble with the law. He was arrested in September 2023 following a fight with an ex business partner over possession of a Lamborghini. The incident was even live-streamed. Some of his followers also lost money after he promoted digital tokens such as the memecoin BEN.
Armstrong, also, had legal troubles and also faced lawsuits, one defamation case which was later dismissed. He also harassed lawyers involved in a class action lawsuit, there are the allegations.
With his latest arrest, many are now wondering what will happen next. His latest controversy comes as he already has his reputation under question in the crypto world. The legal experts and the crypto community will be looking at how things play out.
