North Korea has developed a new deadly weapon—AI-powered suicide drones. The leader of this country, Kim Jong Un, not too long ago observed the testing of these drones that can attack land and sea targets. The drones are built by North Korea’s Unmanned Aerial Technology Complex and are fitted with artificial intelligence (AI) to hunt down and attack enemies without human control.
North Korea also reports that it has developed reconnaissance drones to spy on enemy activities, according to North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). Attack drones are shown striking ground targets in photos from the tests and Kim watches a new drone that appears bigger than a fighter jet. At the same time, he was seen boarding an early warning aircraft that North Korea is developing to detect enemy planes.
And experts believe it is modifying old Russian aircraft into early warning planes to bolster its military power. Russia has warned that North Korea may receive advanced military technology from Russia. In exchange, North Korea is ready to supply weapons and soldiers to support Russia in the Ukraine war, it says.
The threat of sending North Korean soldiers into battle concerns military experts because it provides the country valuable combat experience. North Korea’s military strength is being enhanced with the support of Russia and AI driven drones. Many states are concerned about how to make use of these new weapons in case of the future conflict.
